This entertaining and unpretentious knockoff of THE OMEN, from the low-budget mad scientists at Asylum Pictures, stars Adam Vincent and Sara Lieving as Scott and Erika, an affluent couple who decide to adopt an adolescent boy orphaned by a plane crash (flight 7666, no less). Predictably, however, the kid (Boo Boo Stewart) is not exactly normal, and all hell breaks loose--although some viewers might at first find it difficult to accept an Antichrist named Donald. Clearly made with lots of enthusiasm and little money, Jake Jackson's Z-flick never takes itself too seriously, and with good reason.
Great action thriller with Schwarzenegger as Adam Gibson an old-fashioned family man and decorated fighter pilot who comes home to find that his perfect life has been stolen - by a clone. Adam can't understand what has happened as although it is normal to clone pets and human organs, cloning human beings is illegal. As he digs deeper into the mystery Adam discovers a sinister corporation is illegally cloning humans. Suddenly he is plunged into a sinister world of murder, corruption and high-tech deception.
6th Day, The/ Last Action Hero
Two films. 6th Day - Great action thriller with Schwarzenegger as Adam Gibson an old-fashioned family man and decorated fighter pilot who comes home to find that his perfect life has been stolen - by a clone. Last Action Hero - Arnie relentlessly plays it for laughs and thrills, in this action movie that's crafted as a self mockery of the Big Man's stereotype. When a young fan of screen hero Slater is magically catapulted into the film he's watching, the plot becomes a bemusing mix of cinema in-jokes, references to the link between on-screen and off-screen 'reality' and breathtaking stunts. At the end of the day, the anti-violence message disappears under a deluge of shootings, but enjoyable fun remains.
