When Worthington Laboratories publicise a 'cure' to eliminate mutations, a divide is drawn amongst the X-Men. Professor Charles Xavier, a preacher of tolerance and acceptance, and his X Men are more willing to allow mutations to die out than the band of powerful mutants organized under Xavier's former ally, Magneto. Jean Gray has returned, not as herself, but as her powerful alternate personality, Phoenix, and elects to fight on the side of Magneto? a deadly war looks set to ensue. For the first time, the mutants have a choice ? either to give up their powers (which some have come to regard as a burden) and live as humans, or to retain their powers although they live isolated. The introduction of three characters new to the films, Beast (Kelsey Grammer), Juggernaut (Vinnie Jones) and Angel (Ben Foster) will make this film a hit with readers of the comic books. Fans of the first two films are bound to enjoy this star-studded conclusion to the trilogy which demonstrates even more superhero action and fantastic special effects.

An unflinchingly honest work, Peter Davis's landmark documentary 'Hearts and Minds' confronts with stark frankness the United States' involvement in Vietnam and the development of its foreign policy in the 1970s. Using a carefully constructed range of meticulously researched and powerful material including original interviews, newsreel and documentary footage of the conflict and its aftermath both on the battlefield and on home soil, there emerges a devastating and affecting self-portrait, one that sheds light on not only the soldiers and the war itself, but also the catastrophic effects that conflict has on the citizens it so often rages negligently around. An incendiary, enlightening, and ultimately sobering experience, 'Hearts and Minds' was the controversial winner of the 1974 Academy Award (R) for Best Documentary.
