Christopher Reeve searches for the mysterious grey whale in the last film he made before his tragic accident. Reeve has always been fascinated by the sea and mammals and especially the grey whale. His search takes him from St Lawrence in Alaska to the lagoons of Baja, California, where whales traditionally spend winter. Reeve's accident took place before he could record the commentary for this film and he asked his friend Jeremy Irons to record the narration of the film.
