Separate Tables

Hollywood version of Terence Rattigan's play in which both David Niven and Wendy Hiller won Oscars. Niven plays a bogus war hero, Major Pollock, staying at a small hotel on the south coast of England where the dining room is full of lonely people who all sit at separate tables. The hotel is run by Hiller who resolutely devotes herself to others. When an American writer's ex-wife arrives everyone's lives begin to unravel.

Morph - The Morph Files

Morph, the little clay man created by Tony Hart, appears in 13 of his favourite adventures. He is joined by the disruptive Chas, the ancient skate-boarder Grand Morph, two young girls, Folly and Delilah, the kindly giant Gillespie and Nailbrush who is convinced he's a dog plus a whole host of tiny creatures.

Van Der Graaf Generator - The Live Broadcasts

The music of Van Der Graaf Generator is complex, intelligent and inspired. It can also be obscure and unapproachable, but it is undisputedly and art form in itself. The main part of this film was recorded in Charleroi, Palais de Expos and captures the classic Generator line up (Banton/Evans/Jackson/Hammill) on their 1975 French tour. Although the band had only recently reformed, Van der Graaf create unique levels of intensity and vision as they take us through the entire Godbluff album. Complementing this stunning performance is rare continental studio footage from the early 70s featuring incendiary performances of Theme of One and A plague of Lighthouse Keepers.
