Recorded at the Marquee Club, London 24th October 2002. Original punk heroes the UK Subs formed in the mid 70s and quickly built up a massive following, scoring a string of hit singles and albums. As this DVD proves 25 years later the band have still got it with over 2 hours of pure punk including their hit singles: Tomorrow's Girls, Stranglehold and Warhead.
Nicolas Cage stars as Benjamin Franklin Gates, a third generation treasure hunter. Denzel Washington's charismatic and Oscar-nominated performance as the controversial black leader keeps this lengthy biopic ticking over nicely, despite moments when sheer weight of detail threatens to bring it to a standstill. However Lee's directorial flair and confidence means it's always watchable and the messages are clear and thought-provoking.
Young Lem Siddons is part of a traveling band who has a dream of becoming a lawyer. Deciding to settle down, he finds a job as a stockboy in the general store of a small town. Trying to fit in, he volunteers to become scoutmaster of the newly formed Troop 1. Becoming more involved with the scout troop, he finds his plans to become a lawyer being put on the back burner, until he realizes that his life has been fulfilled helping the youth of the small town.
