A young girl from a very 'proper' and formal upbringing makes an attempt to escape from her domineering mother and runs away into the woods. She meets and falls in love with a boy and discovers a powerful secret from his kind and loving family. A spring in the woods holds the magic of everlasting life and the girl must decide between her former life and taking a drink from the spring.
