Mother Joe has been providing Sunday lunch for the last forty years and to her grandson Ahmad, it seems that they are really happy times, with love laughter and bickering between his mom and her sisters. When his grandmother is taken ill, the whole family seems to fall apart and Ahmad is determined to reunite them and show them the true meaning of soul food.
