White Noise/ Frequency

Two films. White Noise - Listen carefully. Some people believe that if you listen carefully in the midst of the white noise of a detuned radio you might hear voices, known as EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena)... and in the white noise of a detuned television, you might see faces. These voices and faces, they say, are of the dead. Jonathan Rivers is a successful architect, whose peaceful existence is shattered by the unexplained disappearance and death of his wife, Anna. Jonathan is contacted by a man who claims to be receiving messages from Anna through EVP. At first sceptical, Jonathan then becomes convinced of the validity of these messages, and is soon obsessed with trying to contact her on his own... Frequency - John Sullivan is a New York cop who's never got over the death of his fireman father 30 years before. Then one night he tries out his dad's old CB radio for old time's sake and finds himself speaking to Frank Sullivan back in 1969. John seizes on the chance to tell Frank how to avoid death but in changing the course of history they unleash a serial killer on New York. Together father and son must use their radio connection to save the killer's victims and put history to rights.
