Pirate Movie, The

A parody pastiche of Hollywood's finest films this comedy/musical utilises both new songs and parodies from the original, as well as references to popular films of the time, including Star Wars and Raiders of the Lost Ark. It's a typical story of boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy fights for girl using swords. Mabel is the youngest daughter of Major General Stanley who falls in love with Frederic, an ex-Pirate of Penzance. The couple set out to retrieve Stanley's fortune which was stolen more than 20 years ago.
