Three films. Friday - A day in the life of two friends growing up in `the hood' in urban Los Angeles. Craig has been fired from his job, his parents are threatening to kick him out of the house, his insanely jealous girlfriend is stopping him chatting up a beautiful fitness instructor, and his best friend's drug deal has gone sour! He now has twenty four hours to everything right. Next Friday - The follow-up to Friday. Craig Jones finds once again that life in the hood is preventing him from carrying out his one ambition, smoking pot and lazing about. When Debo, the local bully who Craig bested at the end of the first film, escapes from prison, our hapless hero is sent to hide out at the house of his lottery-winner Uncle Elroy where he is unlikely to be able to keep a low profile... Friday After Next - The third instalment in the Friday series finds Craig and Day-Day back in their old neighbourhood. It is Christmas time and their apartment has been broken into by a ghetto Santa Claus and has stolen all their Christmas presents, along with anything else he can take, including their rent money. Hoping not to be evicted before Christmas, they take jobs as unarmed security guards at the local mall.

Red Star - Red Army Chorus And Dance Ensemble In Performance At Tchaikovsky Hall Moscow

This concert, given by the magnificent Russian troupe, the Red Star Red Army Chorus and Dance Ensemble, was recorded at the Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow prior to a nationwide tour of the United States in the autumn of 1992. The 100-strong Ensemble was first formed within the USSR armed forces in 1977, performing concerts primarily for the army. Their repertoire ranges from popular folk tunes and songs of battle from all corners of the former Soviet Union to spectacular Cossack dancing and includes Glinka's Patriotic Song and Kamarinskaya, Rimsky- Korsakov's Flight of the Bumblebee, and folk songs Kalinka, Dark Eyes, A Birch Tree Stood in the Meadow, Happy Girl and Seven Sons-in-Law. All are performed with energy, enthusiasm and patriotic fervour.

Iwo Jima was arguably the toughest battle the Marines had ever faced. The raising of the American flag on Iwo Jima is one of the most iconic photographs of World War II. The inspiration for Clint Eastwood?s Oscar nominated films is captured in this new documentary that features veteran interviews with harrowing colour footage shot by Marine Corps cameramen. The military planners assumed it would take the Marines only three or four days to secure the small island but it took over a month of brutal fighting before Iwo Jima was finally taken. It was the only battle in Marine Corps history where they suffered more casualties than the enemy. One third of all Marines killed in WWII would fall at Iwo Jima. This documentary tells the story of the battle for Iwo Jima through the eyes of those who lived through it.

Here the survivors recount their experiences, the sadness of leaving their families, life in a strange new country and the affects for a very lucky few who were reconciled with their parents after the war.
