Glory Of Steam - In The North & East Midlands

The North and East Midlands area of Great Britain has a proud industrial history bound up in the railways of the country. Situated in the heart of the North and East Midlands is one of the country?s greatest coalfields, the very lifeblood of the steam railway. The film features many of the companies that served the area, notably the London and North Western Railway, the Great Central Railway and the Midland Railway. NORTH & EAST MIDLANDS shows many of their steam locomotives which can still be seen hard at work on both the preserver railways and the main lines of the Midlands as the great railway preservation movement has striven to keep their memories alive. The programme is notably about the sights and sounds of steam trains.

Ten To Midnight

Leo Kessler is a Los Angeles cop on the trail of a serial killer. His targets are beautiful women, who he aims to have his revenge upon because of past rejections. Despite his best efforts to plant evidence, Kessler fails to obtain a conviction and the killer is released. Kessler's own daughter then becomes the next intended victim.

Carnages

In Spain a young bullfighter is injured in the arena and the offending bull is killed. Overnight, the magnificent creature is dismembered, parcelled up, and dispatched to various destinations throughout Europe. When a couple are sold one of the bull's bones by a struggling actress in a supermarket promotion, they give it to their little girl, Winnie, who in turn treats her giant Great Dane to the object. Elsewhere, a philandering scientist and his pregnant wife are given the bull's eyes, and a taxidermist receives the horns as a gift from his elderly mother. Further afield, a Spanish woman dines on Toro en Rioja in a restaurant. In this, her debut feature, Delphine Gleize effortlessly weaves these disparate stories together, creating a fresh take on one of the recurring themes of modern life: whether beneath the spontaneity and chaos of our lives there is some guiding principle that connects us all.

From there she hitches a ride to Neibull before continuing onto the incredible beaches of Sylt. After a stop in Hamburg, she moves to the grand city if Nuremberg before completing her trip climbing Mount Yenna.
