Bend It Like Beckham

Delightful comedy by the director of Bhaji On The Beach, Gurinder Chadha, and tells the story of an eighteen-year-old Indian girl, Jess, who dreams of playing professional football and mastering David Beckham's ability to bend the ball around the wall (a line of opposing players who try to block the goal). Jess' family feel that it is totally inappropriate for a girl to play football so they would be mortified if they knew she played for the local women's team. Will Jess be able to follow her dreams and become a professional footballer or will she go to law school and marry a nice boy as her parents desire?

Mashaal is a film about an honest fearless and crusading editor of an outspoken newspaper, who has vowed to eradicate the evils of illicit liquor, bootlegging and organised crime from his city. It is story of Raja, a young man from the slums who inevitably takes to black marketing to make his living. Mashaal is a story which tells how powerful wealthy and respected figures of the city hid all the social evils and crimes which flourished beneath.
