Cecile arrives in Paris, fresh faced and looking for excitement and adventure. In trouble after an attempted robbery goes wrong, Cecile meets the hard-nosed and very respectable Michel, a distinguished lawyer who enjoys a millionaire lifestyle and to the bemusement of his friends and wife he decides to represent her in court. Using his skills Cecile is acquitted and the pair embark on a passionate affair but their happiness is threatened by Cecile's old boyfriend.
