The ship loses radio contact an crash-lands back on Earth. Two of the astronauts are found to be missing and the third has been infected with an alien organism. Can Professor Quatermass prevent the whole of London from being infected... Quatermass II - Professor Bernard Quatermass becomes very concerned when strange things begin to fall for the night sky. They seem to have some form of intelligence. Investigating further Quatermass and his friend from Scotland Yard travel to a small town where mysterious happenings are occurring on a regular basis. Happenings that are linked to the objects falling from the sky.. The Abominable Snowman - Botanist Dr. John Rollason is staying at a monastery in the Himalayas with his wife as they carry out research in the area. The Tibetan monks of the monastery are overseen by a mysterious Llama. They all get along fine until a group of Americans arrive and ask Rollason to join them on an expedition to find the mysterious Yeti. After a huge tooth, which has been stolen from the monastery years earlier, is produced as evidence, Rollason agrees to join the expedition against the wishes of his spouse. The Bronte Way is a trail of about 43 miles stretching from Birstall near Leeds in West Yorkshire, traversing the Pennines to Gawthorpe Hall at Padiham in Lancashire. 'Bronte Ways' takes us along this walk and visits the many places associated with the lives and literary works of the Bronte family. Part 1 starts in 'Shirley Country' looking at Oakwell Hall, the Red House and other places which formed the locations for that novel including places connected to the Luddite rioters. It traces the Bronte family through Patrick's ministries at Hartshead and Thornton before the family moved to Haworth. There are live interviews with people at the various museums and buildings preserving the Bronte story. It takes us through some spectacular scenery as well as exploring villages along the way such as Oxenhope and Norwood Green. Haworth is finally entered by way of a ride on the Keighley & Worth Valley Steam Railway featured in the 'Railway Children'. This section ends in Haworth with a tour of the Parsonage Museum and St Michael and All Angels Church. Part 2 will include a more thorough look at Haworth before exploring 'Wuthering Heights' country then onto Gawthorpe Hall by way of Wycoller Village featured in 'Jane Eyre'.
