His best friend Gary convinces Howie to help him and his friends to rob local houses. In the aftermath of these burglaries Howie and his friends meet ex-marine Big John and Howie discovers the secret that binds his friend to this mysterious older man. When his best friend suddenly skips town and his father is arrested over a bad business deal, the only person who seems to care about Howie is Big John.
