Matt le Tissier was a remarkable player. In a one-club career he played 540 times for Southampton, scoring 209 goals and converting an amazing 47 out of 48 penalties. Sir Trevor Brooking epitomises all that is great and good in football. Born in Barking in 1948, Trevor Brooking grew up with a passionate dream: to walk out onto Upton Park wearing the famous claret and blue strip. Aged 17, his dream came true and after an incredible 627 appearances for West Ham he had scored more than 100 goals.
