Dusapin has been honoured with much recognition for his work as a composer, including the Grand Prix National de Musique from the French Ministry of Culture in 1995. He also won a Victoire de la Musique in 1998 for a CD recorded by the Orchestre National de Lyon, with whom he collaborates again in this striking opera.
