He hits on the idea of writing children's books and invents Crafty Cow, the cow detective, by day she give milk, by night she a great detective. Whilst researching his facts in the local library he comes across a precocious pre-teen who offers him editorial advice in return for for his help to find her long lost father. Suddenly Howard's life becomes very complicated.
