The Grapes is an old fashioned spit and sawdust pub somewhere in the North of England. Publican Ken knows all the tricks of the trade and thinks nothing of borrowing change from the charity box and pouring cheap spirits into expensive bottles. The regulars include Joe and Duffy, married couple Joan and Eddie, single mother Janice and Liam, boyfriend of Ken's daughter Melanie. Also indulging in the occasional drink are Phil and Nige, a pair of uniformed cops for whom work would be a novelty. Contains every episode from the second series.
