Strokes, The - New York Stories

With their first album First Impressions Of Earth, the critics are once again in a frenzy over the Strokes. The band is currently in the UK promoting the record and have recently played a number of secret gigs in London. This programme provides a complete biography of The Strokes and includes interviews with the band themselves and with close friends, colleagues, fellow musicians, journalists and promoters from the New York club scene. In particular Gordon Raphael, the producer of the first two albums, speaks frankly and openly on a range of subjects about the boys and their music. Features rare footage of The Strokes, much previously unseen and from all stages of their career. The film also features numerous location shoots from New York City, their 'hang-outs' and the bars and clubs where they played their earliest gigs in the mid-90's. Many previously unseen photographs of the band and a host of other features are also included.
