Recorded in 1962 this is the first release of one of 'the' great concerts. Featuring Hans Knappertsbusch, the uncompromising conductor and as yet unsurpassed interpreter of Wagner. This concert features Knappertsbusch in partnership with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, with whom he performed 210 concerts over 35 years. This was one of the first concerts to be performed in the newly restored Theater an der Wien.

City By The Sea

Robert De Niro stars as Vincent LaMarca, a New York City homicide detective who has forged a long and distinguished career in law enforcement. His latest case is not one that he is enjoying. He is investigating his own son Joey on suspicion of murder. He and Joey have been estranged since Vincent divorced his wife. The murder investigation draws Vincent home to Long Beach where he discovers that his own unresolved pain and failures as a father have deeply influenced Joey's life. Now, Vincent must bring the criminal to justice but he also wants to save his son.
