A kid from New York's East Side, Charlie Davies, fights his way out of the slums to become the World title holder. Now is the time for him to defend the title. Unfortunately because of the crooked life with which he has become involved, he has taken a bribe to throw the fight. As he waits in his dressing room he reflects on the type of man he has now become.
