The Northern coast of Java was the setting for one of the most dramatic battles at sea when a fleet of battleships from the USA, Australia, England and the Netherlands led by the legendary Dutch Rear Admiral Karel Doorman made a vain attempt to hold back the Japanese as they attacked the Dutch East Indies. Nearly all the Allied fleet was sunk within hours and more than two thousand men lost their lives on the 27th February 1942.
In this 4 disc boxset, the Rolling Stones take up the challenge to tour and perform in three different venues, a stadium, an arena and a theatre. Disc one features a setlist from New York Madison Square Garden, disc two, London Twickenham Stadium and disc three, Paris Olympia Theatre. The fourth disc contains Bootleg versions of a variety of songs, mostly never released.
