Daddy Day Care : short review
He has worked with animals and monsters and now Eddie Murphy in this hilarious comedy is working with children. When Charlie (Eddie Murphy) and Phil (Jeff Garlin) lose their jobs after a hopeless ad campaign for vegetable cereal, they are forced to reassess their lives. As they can no longer afford to send their sons to the private and very exclusive Chapman Academy, they must look after the boys at home whilst hunting for new jobs. Discovering that looking after their sons is not too difficult Charlie and Phil come up with the idea of opening their own day care centre - after all, how difficult can it be?

Director Oliver Stone co-wrote this film about a controversial, acid-tongued radio talk show host, whose abrasive style puts his life in danger. Set almost entirely in a small radio studio, but without ever being claustrophobic, it is based on elements of the assassination of Denver DJ Alan Berg by white supremists and boasts a tour-de force performance from Eric Bogosian.
