An exotic dancer, Gina (Asia Argento), is attacked in her motel after the show. Her boyfriend is killed during the attack, but the assailant is interrupted and flees before he can kill Gina as well. The police investigators are both sympathetic. The young and enthusiastic Sgt. Burns is determined to catch the killer and his superior, the veteran Lt. Krebs (Dennis Hopper) is especially kind to the young woman and offers to drive her to the bus station. Gina has resolved to straighten up and get on with her life but she never boards the bus.
