A Morbid Taste For Bones - Columbanus, a young monk, has a vision in which St Winifred tells him she is uneasy in her grave which lies over the border in Wales. An expedition is organised to dig up her bones and return them to the abbey. But Cadfael has reservations and when the English arrive in the village of Gwytherin, their confrontational approach arouses hostility from the locals, led by Lord Rhysart. When Rhysart is found dead the following morning Cadfael must begin his own investigations.
