Bruce Hornsby's recording career started accompanying Sheena Easton before he formed Bruce Hornsby and The Range in 1985. Very soon after came the chart buster The Way It Is. It was both catchy and reflective of the American Civil Rights movement and the single and album both topped the American music charts in 1986. Pirates, The - Live At Dingwalls/ Stray Cats - This Country's Rocking

The Pirates Live At Dingwells - By the mid-1970's the Pirates were the most popular act on the club circuit in the UK with their reputation rapidly spreading throughout Europe and Scandinavia. However the band had first emerged in 1959 as a backing group to the late, great Johnny Kidd with whom they enjoyed a total of nine chart singles. Their re-emergence as a power rock/rhythm and blues trio took the live circuit by storm and their two albums 'Out of Their Skulls' and ' Skull Wars' received outstanding reviews. This DVD captures the band delivering the goods in their natural habitat with no holds barred. Stray Cats: This Country's Rockin' - Filmed live at the 'This Country's Rockin'' open-air festival. Shostakovich wrote his Symphony No. 9 at the close of World War II. Stalin undoubtedly expected a triumphal work instead, Shostakovich wrote a very sarcastic, light-hearted piece that stands in stark contrast to his often grim war symphonies, the Seventh and the Eight. Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6 was his last composition, first performed barely a week before his mysterious and tragic death. It remains one of his most popular works and contains some of his most appealing and emotional music. Maestro Solti leads this sparkling and energetic performance, showing once more why his magnetic personality and his high-intense way of conducting made him one of the most acclaimed orchestral conductors of the 20th century.
