Brothers Jules and Gedeon Naudet were working on a documentary about a New York rookie firefighter on the morning of September 11. When Jules heard a roar in the sky he filmed the only existing footage of the first plane crashing into the World Trade Centre. In that instant the brothers captured on film the most shocking and defining moment of our time. The Naudets went on to follow the firefighters and this powerful visual document is a stirring tribute to many real life heroes who rose to extraordinary acts of courage and compassion.

Documentary filmed on board HMS Splendid - one of the Royal Navy's twelve Hunter-Killer submarines and follows the submarine at her base in Falsane in Scotland on a three month undersea mission via the Panama Canal to San Diego, where the submarine was charged with the task of testing and firing the Royal Navy's first Tomahawk Cruise Missile. Life on board is captured in vivid detail and provides a unique insight into life on board a submarine.
