Parallel Sons

Seth Carlson dreams of going to an art college in Manhattan but his father refuses to give him any financial help. In his pursuit of actually becoming an artist, Seth opts to affect the mannerisms, especially those of African American origin. One night, as he is closing the restaurant, he is held up by an escaped convict, Knowledge Johnson. The convict is seriously wounded and passes put before he can escape. He is black and Seth decides to help him. He hid him and nurse him back to health. Knowledge is wary of Seths attention and is appalled by it. But gradually the two become friends. Parallel Sons is the unlikeliset of love stories and it races along toward an envitably tragedy that's positively Shakespearian.

Silsila

Bollywood movie based on the life story of Amitabh, who had an affair with Rekha while married to Jaya Bhaduri. Amit, a poet, decides to bury his past life along with his love for Chandni when he meets Shobha whose life has come to a standstill after her finance is killed in a plane crash. Amit sacrifices his own life in order to make Shobha happy but when he meets Chandhi again he soon realises that he is still in love with her. Unusually for an Indian film it deals with a very taboo subject - adultery.
