Royal Wedding/ Second Chorus

In 'Royal Wedding' brother and sister dance team Tom Bowen (Fred Astaire) and Ellen Bowen (Jane Powell) are invited to perform in England during the time of Queen Elizabeth II's marriage. Made in 1951, this classic showcases the incredible, talents of both Astaire and Powell and includes Astaire's unforgettable 'Ceiling' and 'Coat Rack' numbers, dance sequences which are considered some of the most memorable in film history. Second Chorus (Dir. H.C. Potter, 1940): Trumpet players Danny (Fred Astaire) and Hank (Burgess Meredith) have been avoiding graduation for seven years so that they can continue playing with their college band. They hire pretty Ellen Miller (Paulette Goddard) as the band's agent and, as she quickly increases their earning power, the boys find themselves with flourishing musical careers. Ellen is one day hired as Artie Shaw's band manager and makes plans for Danny and Hank to audition for Shaw. Both however, are keen rivals for Ellen's hand and the tension between them sees them attempting to foil each other's chances as they audition for Shaw.

The stranger begins to give him lessons in snake fist and soon he has mastered the art, but at the same time is disillusioned when he discovers that his father is the owner of a brothel and that many years earlier he had killed Yue Yi's wife.
