In this programme we start our barbel fishing education, under the guidance of Des Taylor in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside on the River Teme. Des explains where to look for your quarry, what tackle to use and which baits give you the best chance of catching the much sought after barbel. We'll then move on to watch our old friend Bob Nudd MBE as he does battle on the River Wye with not only the fish but also the good old English weather. Never one to be beaten, Bob enthusiastically explains methods and demonstrates that inclement weather conditions can sometimes be the best for successful angling. And for the final stint we'll return to Des Taylor, catching a tremendous scrapper on the magnificent River Severn.
