Imagine a world where fairy stories are real, Snow White, Cinderella and Little Red Riding Hood really did grow up, became Queens and formed the Nine Kingdoms. Whilst preparing for the coronation of Prince Wendel, Snow White's grandson, an evil queen escapes from prison and turns Wendel into a golden retriever who manages to escape through a two-way mirror into the Tenth Kingdom (modern day New York). There he meets Virginia and Tony who go back to the Ninth Kingdom to restore Wendell to his human form.
Stunning remake of the 1961 chiller with De Niro on top form as the psychopathic convict hell-bent on revenge and Juliette Lewis making her screen debut as a finger-sucking nymphet wise beyond her years. A true walk on the dark side.
